Sebagai gantinya adalah Osamu Masuko. Dia akan menjalankan tugas sebagai Representative Director and Chairman of the Board dan CEO mulai 26 November 2018.
Ghosn dibebastugaskan sebagai Representative Director and Chairman of the Board MMC karena dilaporkan telah ditangkap oleh Kejaksaan Tokyo karena memanipulasi penghasilannya.
Meski kehilangan sebagai Representative Director and Chairman of the Board MMC, dia akan menduduki jabatan Member of the Board MMC.
