Dugaan Nissan akan Jual MPV Berbasis Xpander Kian Kuat

JAKARTA — Mitsubishi Motors menyatakan bahwa pabrik PT Nissan Motor Indonesia akan memproduksi mesin Mitsubishi Xpander. Dengan begitu akan meningkatkan rasio penggunaan komponen lokal pada Xpander dari 70% menjadi sekitar 80%.

Fasilitas PT Nissan Motor Indonesia (NMI) di Purwakarta akan mampu memproduksi 160.000 unit mesin Xpander per tahun. Tentunya ini akan membawa manfaat ekonomi bagi rantai pasokan lokal.

Selain itu, berita ini semakin menguatkan isu yang beredar saat ini bahwa Nissan akan menjual MPV 7-seater berbasis Xpander.

Sejak diluncurkan pada Agustus 2017 hingga September 2018, penjualan Mitsubishi Xpander telah mencapai 100.000 unit. Xpander bahkan pernah menjadi mobil terlaris dalam penjualan di Indonesia, yaitu pada Maret dan Juli 2018.
